A black-and-white photo of the construction of the dam around the pool of El Morro. Seven men work with shovels, buckets, and wheelbarrows around a wooden frame.
In 1927, Evon Vogt, the monument's first custodian, and local farmers constructed a dam to raise the water in the pool to a more consistent level.
