I have most unaccountably neglected the within note [illegible] this time when due has past, not recollecting that it was made at so early a date - I now hand it to thee wishing thee to procure the payment & hold the funds till a convenient opportunity to send to me after paying thyself for they expenses & troubles I [illegible] they assured friend Benaiah Sawyer"
