Emery Gettysburg National Military Park Gettysburg, Pennsylvania Dear Mr. Emery: At a recent meeting of the Gettysburg Memorial Commission, it was felt that the timetable was too short in order to have a successful dedication by early October. The Commission felt that perhaps the dedication on the anniversary of the battle on July 3, 1971 would be more appropriate.
