Mr. George F. Emery
Gettysburg National Military Park
Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
Dear Mr. Emery:
At a recent meeting of the Gettysburg Memorial Commission, it was felt that the timetable was too short in order to have a successful dedication by early October. The Commission felt that perhaps the dedication on the anniversary of the battle on July 3, 1971 would be more appropriate.
We write to inquire whether or not this would cause any conflict and whether the change is acceptable to the officials of the Park.
Very truly yours,
