No Apparent Changes at McKinley Park Headquarters: 1976-2005
A photo pair showing No Apparent Changes at McKinley Park Headquarters: 1976-2005
The degree of similarity between these two images is striking - especially in the patterns shown by the steep rocky sections, which look almost identical although they are separated by nearly three decades. It is surprising that these rapidly erodible surfaces have remained nearly the same. Perhaps this attests to the fact that interior Alaska is quite cold and dry, with soils in the Denali area remaining frozen and largely immobile for many months of the year.
