Breadcrust-Spindle Bomb

a smooth rounded rock with a slight U shape and a cracked surface like an eggshell

Lava bombs can have characteristics of more than one type of lava bomb. This bomb was most likely formed when a moderately fluid lava fragment spun through the air. The outside of the bomb cooled, but the inside was still somewhat hot when it landed, cracking the surface.
