Grant agreement awarded Clark Atlanta University; Trevor Arnett Hall in Atlanta, GA. to rehabilitate roof. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act provided $15M in funding for Historic Preservation Grants to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The Historic Preservation Fund (HPF) supports a NPS goal of protecting cultural resources by providing grants to external organizations that preserve heritage assets. One HPF grant program assists Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to facilitate the preservation of threatened historic buildings. These Grants are awarded by the NPS to assist HBCUs with the preservation, rehabilitation, stabilization and repair of historic buildings on their campuses. The goal of this grant program is to make historic properties on the campuses of HBCUs safe and useable while preserving them as cultural resources.
