Commemorative monument erected to honor those who served & died during the Battle of Antietam on Sept 17, 1862. Dedicated to 4th NY Vol "First Scot Life Guard" Reg, 3rd Brg, 3rd Div, 2nd Corps.

83 || 10'h with 5'h flat-top obelisk shape on 3-tier pedestal base. Smooth front, w/bronze insert plaques: a clover leaf, a round plaque, & a rectangular plaque in descending order. 3 other sides rough-dressed. Located in Nat'l Cem. Bronze oxidized. || Built in 1887; designer unknown.
