June 13, Little Round Top Update

Four contractors, two in green and two in orange, guide the arm of a piece of construction machinery that lowers granite curbing into a trench in front of a tree.

Contractors gently place a second granite curbing along the east side of Hazlett’s 5th United States Battery D location near the summit of Little Round Top. This curbing will provide a solid edge for the stabilized aggregate that will be placed around the battery cannons.
