Marks position where 146th New York Infantry held July 2, 1863. Regiment dug in here & erected stone breastworks & remained here throughout Battle. Mead observed Battle here July 3, 1863. 1 of 90 mns to NY comannds. On NW slope of Little Round Top. || Mn & 2 flank markers. Rough hewn base, 9'6"x6'6". Shaft w/ raised inscriptions on all 4 faces & ridged cap. All 8'4" high. Flank marker, 1'x1'x1', flat topped w/ inscription on top. Left flank mounted in stone.
