The Gray Treefrog Complex can change color from gray to green, tan, or brown. Gray Treefrogs (Hyla versicolor) and Cope's Gray Treefrog (Hyla chrysoscelis) can be indistinguishable apart from their DNA and calls. Cope's Gray Treefrogs have a faster, harsher call, while Gray Treefrogs have a slower, more melodic call.
