Monument contributes to the nat'l significance of the park under NR Criterion A because it represents national movement among veterans & related groups to commemorate Civil War battlefields. || 8' x 2'6" x 9'6" high. Three-piece rock-faced base supports round-topped slab incorporating bronze relief tableau of a battle scene and medallion portrait of Gen. George Thomas.
