General George Armstrong Custer in Civilian Clothes Holding His Hat
LIBI_00019_00278; This item is an original tintype of General George A. Custer in civilian clothes. The collodion emulsion tintype is 4 3/8 x 6 3/4" mounted in the original pink folder and was produced circa 1871 by Edward M. Estabrooke of New York. The subject is shown in long bust view. On the front, a typed notation reads, "Estabrooke, 31 Union Square." On the verso, a handwritten notation reads, "Genl. G.A.
