Fort Sumter early days, Fort Sumter and Fort Moultrie National Historical Park, 2016.
Photograph from 1943-1944 depicting Fort Sumter during its early days. This is where visitors enter Fort Sumter today. Rooms along the left flank wall were used during WWII as both a game room and chapel. Today, these rooms have been restored to look more like they would have during the Civil War and are often used during ranger programs.
