This painting, completed by Susan Watkins in 2014, displays two fighting muskoxen. Muskoxen have historically called the land that makes up Cape Krusenstern National Monument home, but were gone from it for over 100 years. They were reintroduced to the area in the late 1900s, and their population is being closely monitored by Federal and State entities.
