Amphicyon sinapius, Mascall Formation, 15 Ma - - These large beardogs must have been truly awesome predators. Weighing over 200 kg (400 lbs), they had massive skulls, huge crushing molars, and stout limbs capable of great bursts of speed to pursue prey.
