George Armstrong Custer in Dress Uniform

LIBI_00019_00313; This item is a card-mounted albumen photograph of George A. Custer in bust view. As noted on page 101 of D. Mark Katz's book, the photograph was produced in 1873 by Bingham and Craver of Memphis, Tennessee. The oval-shaped photograph is 5 1/4 x 7 3/8" (8 1/16 x 10 1/8" mounted). On the front, the photographer's stamp is printed at the bottom center. The verso is signed by Elizabeth B. Custer in pencil.Photograph reprinted in "The Custer Album" by Lawrence A.
