Junior Ranger families observe young turkeys, farm equipment, and the hen house at Goatfeathers Point. They also learn about farm animal care and make a turkey caller. These activities are part of the Goats & Gobblers program for children ages 7-12. The rangers are Margaret Adams and Cindy Porter. The farmer is Terry Smith. || CVNP offers a variety of Junior Ranger programs to families and groups during the summer, and a limited menu to families throughout the year. In 2007 we had a Parks as Classrooms grant to develop pilot programs on working farms on park property. This program, Goats & Gobblers, explores what a farmer does to care for goats and turkeys on his farm.
