Brinegar Cabin Property (1973)
Several people follow the walkway that leads down a slope towards the cabin.
Brinegar Cabin - Doughton Park. The cabin and outbuildings date to the late 1880s, but many of the features of the site correspond with the period of park development along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Construction included the pathways, parking lots, entry roads for vehicle and pedestrian circulation. The Brinegar Cabin is used for interpretation of Appalachian life and mountain farming.
