This specimen of brachiopod is Productus crawfordsvillensis and was found in the Monte Cristo Group, which is early to late Mississippian in age (358-325 million years ago). All articulated brachiopods, including this form, when extinct at the end of the Permian (252 million years ago). 83mm 3.3 in.
