Ron Brown's Memorial Flag Raising, 2/12/2020

During an outdoor memorial ceremony. four park rangers are taking down an large American flag, and beginning to fold it.

With the passing of long-time NPS employee Ron Brown during February, 2020, Grand Canyon National Park's Division of Interpretation and Resource Education conducted a flag raising ceremony at Grand Canyon Visitor Center on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 8:00 am. When Ron's wife Pat passed away in 2014, we raised a flag in her honor. Ron asked to have the same flag raised when he passed. So, to honor his wishes, we raised the flag and lowered it to half-staff, then took it down in honor of Ron.
