Post Card Showing the Interior of Salão Nobre do Palace Hotel
Post card with a printed blue-toned photograph of the interior of a hotel dining room. The interior is vacant and lavishly decorated. Two tall doors are visible with bust sculptures built into the top. Scattered along the marble floor are many tables and chairs. On the right side, a large fireplace at the wall is sculpted with patterns, and two horses, two vases, and a person playing a string instrument is built into the mantle. A mural of a forest scene is painted on the top portion of the righthand wall. Towards the left side, a large decorated archway shows another section of the dining room with tables, chairs, and a low-hanging chandelier. At the bottom, printed writing reads, “Portugal-Bussaco-Salão Nobre do Palace Hotel (Pinturas de Carlos Reis).”
