A groups ducks on the water, including Lesser Scaups
Lesser Scaups are winter visitors to the Star Fort Pond.
Males have a black head, chest, and rear. Their backs are gray and their sides white. Their bills are a blue-gray and they have yellow eyes.
Females are brown with a bold white patch at the base of their bill.
Juveniles males are a mottled brown with a dark head and yellow eyes.
