Mr. George Emory, Superintendent
Gettysburg National Military Park
Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
Dear Mr. Emory:
We enclose herewith the proposed text to be inscribed upon the Indiana memorial. It is proposed that the text on the left-hand column be inscribed on the lower left facing on the monument; the text in the center to be on the face of the monument below the seal of the State of Indiana; the text on the right column to be on the right facing of the monument all in accordance with the drawing submitted by Mr. James Codori, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
We trust that your approval will be forthcoming and then we can enter into a formal contract for the construction of the monument.
Very truly yours,
