Dear Mr. Harrison:
We appreciate the time you gave us on our recent visit to your office.
The Commission expects to be in a position to receive preliminary designs and bids in the month of September of this year. We have a target date of the summer of 1970 for the construction of the monument, assuming we can clear the necessary hurdles before that time.
In accordance with our discussion, I am enclosing herewith a copy of the notes I have made in connection with my research on Indiana at Gettysburg. Most of the information contained therein was obtained from the Indiana State Library and the library of Franklin College, Indiana.
Very truly yours,
