Images were contracted by the NPS Office of the Chief Information as part of a larger project to add images of all Civil War monument to the NPS Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System

North Inscription

U.S. National Park Service

The 10' x 6'5" x 9'4" high structure consists of a 2 tier, rectangular base supporting the indented center and cap. A bronze plaque is featured on the cap. "IOWA" in raised lettering & an inscribed granite plaque are in the center section.
