1 of 6 Monuments to Wisconsin. Indicates position held July 2, 1863, supported Union left, re-took position morning of July 3, 1863. LF&RF markers 80' & 72' W-E, respectively. Mn located W side Colgrove Avenue. || Mn & 2 flank markers. Mn base 6'x4'6", rough cut w/tooled edge. Stepped multi-part shaft of rough cut, smooth cut, & polished finish. Incised inscription & excised regiment. Tapered rough cut top w/Corps star at peak. All 17'H. Flanks 1'sq x 1'6"H.
