Cornerstone ceremony, Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park, 1909.
This photo was taken during the laying of the cornerstone for the symbolic birthplace cabin of Abraham Lincoln, where the memorial building would be constructed. While in attendance at the ceremony, Richard Lloyd Jones, Clarence Mackay and Robert J. Collier posed with the cabin on the knoll overlooking Sinking Spring. These men were three key members of the Lincoln Farm Association, which was responsible for the planning and construction of this memorial to Abraham Lincoln.
