Bust-length portrait of woman in charcoal and chalk, in gold oval frame
Henry Longfellow comissioned portraits of his sisters Mary and Anne by Eastman Johnson in October 1846. At their completion, he called them "quite charming," saying "I am delighted with them." The portraits of the sisters hang in the Longfellow dining room.
