Dear Mrs. Miller:
We notice that your letter of October 23 has crossed in the mail with ours of October 27, which takes up the matter of Indiana memorials on this battlefield. We hope that your questions have been answered; unfortunately we do not have any photographs of the regimental monuments which could give you a better idea of them. They are widely scattered on the field.
Last year Senator Bayh of Indiana spent a day here and was much interested to be shown the places where Indiana men fought and where the monuments have been placed. He would be pleased to know of your concern for a state memorial, I am sure.
Please write again if we can help further.
Sincerely yours,
Kittridge A. Wing
