Misc. Named Giant Sequoias, Historic Individuals, L to R: John Jordan, James Jordan at Ed by Ned Tree near Round Meadow. Note: on 11 August 1933 Mrs. Amy W. Childs of Hanford gave date of photograph and said that is when this tree was named. James Jordan was her father. They camped all summer at the edge of Round Meadow. The family gave the trees the name. Signs were burned in with a hot iron. However, Judge Fry says the tree was named by John Broder in 1900 for John Jordan and Ed Grudge (H.B. Robinson, 1959).
