General George Armstrong Custer Standing in Military Uniform Wearing His Hat
LIBI_00019_00299; This item is an original albumen cabinet card of General George A. Custer in standing view. The photograph is 3 7/8 x 5 9/16" (4 1/4 x 6 1/2" mounted) and was produced circa 1873 by Gentile of Chicago, Illinois. The photographer's stamp is printed on the front bottom edge. On the verso, the photographer's stamp is printed in light ink on the dark background. A handwritten notation written in pencil is barely visible and reads, "Gen. Custer - E.B.C.
