Firefighters provide structural protection to commercial buildings during the Bircher fire, Mesa Verde National Park, July 2000
Residences and commercial businesses, as well as Morefield Campground, were threatened by the Bircher fire but with the exception of a historical cabin and an observation tower, no structures were destroyed by the intense fire. These photos show firefighters involved in structural protection for private businesses.
