The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) spike camp (temporary camp sometimes referred to as a stub camp) located in Jolley Wash, viewed from a small rise. Visible in the photograph are seven tents in the wash among the pinyon and juniper trees, one small wood frame structure and a pickup truck. Ponderosa pine trees on the ridge in back, and a small amount of snow is visible on the ground. Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) workers constructing the East Rim Trail were temporarily housed at the Jolley Wash campsite.
