Images of the Gleeson House were taken in summer 2008, after rehabilitation was completed but before the new farmers moved in. || The Edmund Gleeson House stands as a reminder of the farms of the past which dotted the Cuyahoga Valley landscape. Built circa 1854 on the bustling Ohio & Erie Canal, the Gleeson Farm had easy access to move crops to market. In 2008, rehabilitation of the Gleeson House was completed, and it now houses a new generation of farmers: the Wingenfeld family of Canal Corners Farm & Market. Canal Corners Farm & Market is a part of the Countryside Intiative, a program in which the National Park Service leases historic farm properties for modern sustainable farming.
