Back of a carte-de-visite. On the front is a portrait of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Head and shoulders visible against blank background. He is at three-quarter view to his left. Inscription: "1866" written in pencil verso. Photographer stamp includes "J.W. Black / 173 Washington St. / Boston." Notes: C1866. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow beard not yet completely white, and his clothing is similar to that of other C1865 portraits. The 1875 date appears slightly too late. Associated Materials: 3007-1-2-1-28 to -33 are identical carte-de-visites.
