1 of 8 mns to Conn. troops in Gettysburg Campaign. Marks the position held by the regiment on July 2 when attacked by the Confederate Early's Division. Located on W side of Wainwright Av., near its N end. || 3 part base w/1st part rough-hewn & 5'3" sq. Smooth cut shaft, 2'3" sq., is adorned with excised state seal & incised inscriptions on E face. All 19'9" high.
