Individual in a Decorated Quill Work Vest in Front of a Crowd
LIBI_00268_07961; A 6 5/8" x 4 1/2" image mounted on a 10" x 7 3/4" card. The photograph depicts an individual dressed in a quill work vest and leggings with a roach headdress. The quill work on the back of the vest depicts a mounted warrior under two stars. In the background is a brush arbor with a number of people seated beneath it. The image was taken on the Crow Reservation in Montana. A hand written note on the bottom of the margin reads: "Sioux Jacket". The image is in good condition. It was taken by Fred E. Miller, circa 1898.
