On front of document: “Waterloo 6 th mo 19th 1824 Respected Friend Jasper Ward I herew+K89ith send you the description of a House which I wanted to be Insured say insurance is wanted on [three lines of crossed out illegible text] a frame building 30 feet front 60 feet deep first 30 feet 2 stories rear 30 feet one & half story. Situated on Village Lots No 13,14 [& 131?] in the Village of Seneca Falls [inserted - Town of Junius Seneca Co N.York] on the North Side of the Main Street and on the west corner of the North Turnpike owned by Theodore Chapin now ocupied as a tavern one Policy for $1000 for the Term of 4 Term from 19th last this policy Transfered to Joseph Hunt of the Town of Romulus S. Co also one Policy on the same property for $700 for the term of 2 Years Transfered to Jonathan Stout of the Town of Springport Cayuga Co I wish you to make out the above Policy with the Transfers on them and Send them to me pr Mail as one of the men is a going to move away and wants the Policy before he goes as he has Loaned money on the Property. by attending to the above You will much oblige your friend R.P.
