On front of document: “Waterloo 1m 23d 1824 Esteemed Friend Martin Gage, I herewith send thee the plough Recepts that was given to D & AP Rusco with an order to settle the Plough concern with me. I was out to thy store on 10th Instant and thee was not at home. I wish thee to make an account Sales of the P[l]oughs and Shares Sold by thee. and pay what money thee has recep’d to the bearer M Kendig Jr. and the notes which remain unpaid if any I wish thee to give him a recept for in My name and Send a new recept for the ploughs & Shares remaining unsold so that I can make a Settlement with the Ruscos by So doing thee will much oblige thy friend R.P. Hunt NB. If thee has any a/c against Rusco please make it out and deduct it with thy Comissions from the Sales and Send it to me RPH as it will save me the trouble of coming out on that business” On back of document: "Copy of a Letter to M Gage 1m-23rd-1824"
