William H. Macy (built 1883; ship, 3m), pierside, undated
Image reproduced in John Kemble's book, "San Francisco Bay: A Pictorial Maritime History," p. 125, with the following information: "WILLIAM H. MACY, which is shown unloading at a San Francisco pier, was built in 1883. At the time this picture was taken, she was owned by Eschen and Minor of San Francisco, but she was still on the Cape Horn route. She ended her days in coastwise coal and lumber service." Note on the small enclosure says, "In 1906, she was owned by Carleton, Norwood, of San Francisco."
