KATE DAVENPORT a Pacific Coast lumber bark, made into a barge in 1909. See info. file for more info.[CR]Image reproduced in John Kemble's book, "San Francisco Bay: A Pictorial Maritime History," p. 158, with the following information: "KATE DAVENPORT as a coal drougher....This 1,249-ton wooden ship was built in Bath in 1866. By the mid-1880's, she had shifted to Pacific Coast ownership and was in the coal trade. In the photograph she is shown lying at Green Street Wharf just south of the old Fishermen's Wharf."
