Note on large print enclosure: "...riverboat PORT OF STOCKTON (ex CAPITAL CITY) showed her heels to more modern competitor, the DELTA QUEEN, in a race down the Sacramento River from Sacramento to Clarksburg, 14 miles, on June 26. Going through the Freeport bridge, however, the DELTA QUEEN (left), loaded with 900 excursionists, was slightly in the lead."
