Sample photograph of Parella (cargo vessel:Ro/Ro) at dock in San Francisco unloading cargo
Roll-on/roll-off vessel at dock with the ramp down for unloading. These vessels are unique in that they drive the cargo on and off the vessel rather than employ a crane or other means of transport. The vessel was employed by the PAD Line, a joint Australian/British/Swedish company. A sign, "The PAD Highway," is in view.
