Departing in mid-September, 1969, the Eppleton Hall was brought to San Francisco by Captain Scott Newhall, staff, and volunteers of the then San Francisco Maritime Museum after a complete rennovation in Newcastle, England. She arrived March 24, 1970. The Eppleton Hall is the only remaining intact example of a Tyne paddle tug. The vessel was donated to the National Park Service in 1979. She is berthed at Hyde Street Pier, San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park.
